“Apolinario Mabini”

-Born on July 23, 1864 in Talaga, Tanauan, Batangas.
-Died on May 13, 1903 at Nagtahan, Pandacan, Manila.
-Made a Mason in September 1892 in Logia Balagtas No. 149 under the Gran Oriente Espanol.
-An organizer and orator of the Masonic Regional Council of 1893.
-A leader for the unification of Philippine Masonry.
-Blessed with a brilliant mind and tutored by his intelligent mother, he became a lawyer of great intellect and an idealistic philosopher.
-Member of Rizal’s Liga Filipina. He was arrested in 1896 for complicity in the Katipunan.
-Paralyzed in both legs, he arrived at the Proclamation of Philippine Independence in Kawit, Cavite, in hammock.
-Designated Prime Minister and Secretary of Foreign Affairs in Aguinaldo’s first Cabinet and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court by the Malolos Congress. He laid the foundation of the government of the first Philippine Republic.
-Author of the “True Decalogue” and “The Philippine Revolution” dedicated to his mother, he is regarded as the “Brains of the Revolution,” “Learned Statesman,” “Sublime Paralytic,” “Magnificent Patriot.”
